It also outlines procedures for the removal of ISA devices once a driver has successfully completed the required usage period, which is typically 365 days or the duration of a license suspension, whichever is longer, and includes provisions for extending this period in cases of non-compliance. Furthermore, the bill authorizes indigent users to apply for assistance from an electronic monitoring indigency fund to cover the costs associated with ISA device usage and mandates annual reporting by the Department of Safety on the implementation and effectiveness of the ISA device program.
