Before reviewing any sensitive information, the legislator must sign a form acknowledging confidentiality laws and the consequences of unauthorized disclosure, and all reviewed materials must stay with the department. If the legislator needs more information after their initial review, the department is obligated to discuss the circumstances of the disclosed records with them.
