This bill amends Mississippi Code Section 69-5-114 to expand the list of facilities that certain agricultural and youth organizations can use at no cost for events. Previously, these organizations, including the Future Farmers of America (FFA), 4-H Club, Junior Livestock Association, Mississippi Cattlemen's Association, and the United States Pony Club, Inc., could use livestock facilities constructed or improved with specific grant funds for up to three animal or livestock shows or sales per year without charge for facility use or utilities. This bill adds the Mississippi Trade Mart, Mississippi Coliseum, Kirk Fordice Equine Center, Mississippi State Fairgrounds, and related livestock and equine barns, stalls, and all other facilities to this list, and also allows for "other events" in addition to shows and sales, continuing to provide these facilities at no charge for facility use or utilities for these organizations.
