This concurrent resolution requests the Department of Education to make public school recreational facilities, such as pools, gyms, and fields, available for public use during times when they are not being used for school activities, specifically during non-peak hours and on non-school days. This initiative aims to address the inequitable access to recreational amenities faced by many residents, particularly those in rural and low-income communities, by expanding the use of existing public school infrastructure, which already has provisions for public access under certain conditions. A certified copy of this resolution will be sent to the Superintendent of Education.
