This bill, an Act To Define The Term "artificial Intelligence"; And For Related Purposes, establishes a legal definition for "artificial intelligence" (AI) within Mississippi law, specifying that it refers to any system driven by machines that can make predictions, recommendations, or decisions to influence real or virtual environments based on human-defined goals, by using machine and human inputs to understand these environments, analyze them automatically to create models, and then use those models to suggest information or actions. This definition will be added to Chapter 3 of Title 1 of the Mississippi Code of 1972 and will become effective on July 1, 2026.
