This bill requires the Tennessee Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations (TACIR), a state agency that studies and advises on intergovernmental issues, to conduct a study and prepare a report on pay equity for assistant district attorneys general, who are legal prosecutors in Tennessee's judicial system. The bill also mandates that all relevant state departments and agencies assist TACIR in this study and that TACIR submit its findings, recommendations, and any proposed legislation to specific legislative leaders and the legislative librarian by January 31, 2027, with the understanding that this study must be completed using TACIR's existing resources.
