This bill requires that any certificated or classified school employee, or a school contractor, who knows or has reason to believe that an assault, theft, or destruction of property has occurred or will occur on public school property must immediately report it to the proper law enforcement agency and the appropriate school administrator, in addition to any other reporting requirements already in place. This new rule applies to the operation and management of school districts, charter schools, and state-tribal education compact schools.
