This bill prohibits certain individuals involved in serving or executing eviction documents, referred to as "participants in an eviction process" (which excludes law enforcement officers acting in their official capacity), from publicly sharing videos of this process without the written consent of the person being served, unless it's for official legal documentation. "Civil process related to an eviction proceeding" includes eviction notices and court orders for possession. Individuals whose privacy is violated by such unauthorized video sharing can sue the violator and may be awarded a minimum of $25,000 in damages for intentional violations, plus actual damages, punitive damages, and legal costs. However, these restrictions do not apply if the video is shared with the landlord, property owner, their legal counsel, law enforcement, the court, or the property management company.
