AI Summary

This bill mandates that, starting with the 2026-2027 school year, every school board must annually gather and report specific health insurance premium data for their employees to the Department of Education. This data will include details about the types of health plans offered, such as HMOs (Health Maintenance Organizations), PPOs (Preferred Provider Organizations), POS (Point of Service) plans, and HDHPs (High-Deductible Health Plans), along with the total premium costs, how those costs are split between the school division and the employee, and the number of employees enrolled in each plan and coverage level. The Department of Education will then compile this information, include it in its yearly "Annual School Report," and publish it online in a way that allows for easy comparison of data across different school divisions, plan types, and coverage levels. The Board of Education will be responsible for creating the necessary regulations to implement and manage this new data collection and reporting process.
