This bill mandates that the state must fully implement the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, which is an agreement among states to streamline the licensing process for physicians who want to practice medicine in multiple states, by July 1, 2026, and also adds a new chapter to health and safety laws to ensure in-state residents have access to telemedicine, including services from out-of-state providers who are licensed through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact, with the Department of Health and the Office of Health Insurance Commissioner responsible for creating necessary rules and regulations to support these provisions, and the entire act will become law upon its passage.
