This bill amends existing Idaho law to adjust various permit and license fees related to alcoholic beverages and to clarify provisions for donating or selling alcohol for charitable events. Specifically, it increases the fees for several types of liquor and beer licenses, including those for cities of various sizes, railroad cars, common carrier boats and airlines, golf courses, and restaurants at airports. It also raises the fees for transferring beer and wine licenses, as well as the permit fees for selling or donating beer and wine for benevolent, charitable, or public purposes. Additionally, the bill modifies the requirements and fees for wine direct shipper permits, which allow out-of-state wineries to ship wine directly to Idaho residents for personal use. The Director of the Idaho State Police, referred to as the "Director," is responsible for issuing these permits and licenses and collecting the associated fees. The bill also clarifies that proceeds from events where alcohol is sold or donated for charitable purposes must be donated after deducting reasonable expenses.
