The bill also clarifies that certain data collected for product improvement, vehicle safety, essential operation, or legal compliance may be exempt from consent requirements. Finally, it mandates that the Motor Vehicle Division will provide information on vehicle owner data privacy rights on its website, and the changes will take effect on January 1, 2027.
