This bill aims to support local alcoholic beverage manufacturers in Hawaii by increasing the production limits for businesses holding a "small craft producer pub license," which allows them to manufacture and sell alcoholic beverages on-site. Specifically, it raises the maximum annual production for malt beverages from seventy thousand to one hundred fifty thousand barrels, for wine from twenty thousand to forty thousand barrels, and for alcohol from seven thousand five hundred to twenty thousand barrels. Additionally, the bill modifies regulations regarding the sale of alcoholic beverages in recyclable containers, increasing the allowable size for alcohol containers from one liter to one and three-quarter liters, while maintaining the one-gallon limit for wine. The term "barrel" is defined as a container not exceeding thirty-one gallons or wine gallons of liquor.
