Specifically, the bill raises the minimum fee for traffic accident, criminal investigation, incident, and property reports from $10 to $20, with $20 of each report's charge going to the retirement fund, and increases the maximum fee for these reports from $20 to $30. It also doubles the fees for services like adult private employment fingerprinting, fingerprinting for federal firearm permits, motor vehicle number identification, and adult identification cards from $5 to $10, and increases the fee for nongovernmental background investigation reports from $5 to $10, with all these increased fees also being deposited into the Deputy Sheriff Retirement Fund. Additionally, the bill increases a specific disability benefit for members retired on or before July 1, 2020, from $400 to $600 per month.
