This bill allows salaried employees of an insurance company or a managing general agent (a business that handles claims for an insurer) to obtain an insurance adjuster license in Arizona without taking the state's exam, provided they meet certain conditions. Specifically, these employees must be Arizona residents who held an active adjuster license in another state before January 1, 2026, and remain in good standing there. They must apply for the Arizona license by June 30, 2027, submitting the required fee and fingerprints, and must have originally qualified for their out-of-state license by passing an exam. However, individuals licensed under this provision can only adjust claims as a salaried employee and cannot adjust claims on behalf of an insured or in any other capacity besides being a direct salaried employee. Their license is valid and renewable only as long as they continue to work as a salaried employee for a licensed insurer or managing general agent. The bill also clarifies the definition of "salaried employee" for this purpose.
