This bill amends existing law to require the caseload forecast council to forecast specific data related to the adult protective services system, which is a system designed to protect vulnerable adults from abuse, neglect, or exploitation. Specifically, the council will now be responsible for predicting the number of adults involved in or receiving adult protective services, the number of screened-in reports of abuse or neglect involving vulnerable adults that are accepted for investigation or assessment (including case type and prioritization level), the number of reports outside the system's jurisdiction, the number of duplicate cases, the number of repeat perpetrators, and the number of cases referred to law enforcement. This expansion of the council's duties aims to provide better data for planning and resource allocation within the adult protective services system.
