It highlights recent statements from U.S. officials, including President Trump, suggesting interest in acquiring Greenland for national security reasons, which have been met with strong opposition from Danish and Greenlandic leaders, who view such actions as a disregard for sovereignty and a threat to the NATO alliance. The resolution also directs the Secretary of State to send copies of this resolution to various U.S. and Danish officials, as well as Greenlandic representatives.
