This concurrent resolution, passed by both the Illinois Senate and House of Representatives, amends a previous designation to officially name a specific portion of U.S. Route 14 in Illinois as the "Ronald Reagan Highway," honoring the former U.S. President. The resolution clarifies that this designation applies to the part of U.S. Route 14 known as the Northwest Highway, with the exception of the segment located between Broadway and Ridge Avenue (also referred to as Ridge Boulevard). Furthermore, the Illinois Department of Transportation is instructed to adjust or remove any existing signs or markers that were put in place under the prior designation to align with this updated naming.
