This bill appropriates a total of $1,211,674,900 to the State Board of Education for specific educational transportation and tuition expenses, with funds to be available starting July 1, 2026. The appropriation includes $584,684,900 from the General Revenue Fund for reimbursement of transportation costs for disabled students, and an additional $224,990,000 from the same fund for disabled student tuition and private tuition, which can also cover costs from previous years. Furthermore, $402,000,000 is allocated from the Education Assistance Fund for reimbursement of regular and vocational common school transportation costs, as outlined in Section 29-5 of the School Code.
