This bill amends existing law regarding agricultural park leases, specifically concerning lease extensions. Previously, for the Department of Agriculture and Biosecurity to extend a lease with fifteen years or less remaining, the land had to be twenty-five acres or less and located in a county with a population under five hundred thousand. This bill removes the population restriction, meaning that agricultural park leases with fifteen years or less remaining can now be extended for an additional thirty years regardless of the county's population, as long as the land is twenty-five acres or less.
