This resolution recognizes and commends the City of Austell for its significant historical, economic, and cultural contributions to the State of Georgia, acknowledging its founding in 1885, its past reputation as a therapeutic city and natural health resort with a picturesque setting, its role as a major train station division terminal located west of Atlanta, and its commitment to meeting the needs of its residents, businesses, and visitors through accountability, stewardship, and leadership, and further directs the Secretary of the Senate to distribute copies of this resolution to the public and the press.
