AI Summary

This bill requires the Commissioner of Human Services, working with the Secretary of Higher Education, to create general information about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), a federal program that helps low-income individuals and families buy food, including a link to its application, and also a link to NJ 211, a statewide service that connects people to health, emergency, and human services resources. Furthermore, every public college and university in New Jersey must provide this SNAP information, along with details about any food assistance programs they or their local communities offer, to students when they first receive an offer of admission and again via email at the start of each semester's registration.
