This bill expands free admission to New Jersey's State parks, forests, and beaches to include certain veterans and military personnel. Specifically, it grants free entry to any resident veteran who has been honorably discharged or released from active military service, and to any person currently in active military service in the U.S. Armed Forces, including reserves, who is either a resident of New Jersey or stationed in the state. This builds upon existing provisions that already offer free admission to State residents who are 62 or older, totally disabled, or active members of the National Guard who have completed their initial training. The bill also clarifies the definition of a "veteran" for these purposes and makes technical amendments to related laws.
