Turning Point USA is a nonprofit organization that advocates for conservative politics at schools, colleges, and universities. During Turning Point USA events, Kirk held debates on college campuses across the country and he engaged in get-out-the-vote campaigns to encourage younger Americans to vote. A man of faith and a proud father and husband, Charlie Kirk passionately discussed his values and political beliefs during political events, on his talk radio show, and in his many books. On September 10, 2025, Charlie Kirk was targeted for his political views and assassinated during a speaking engagement at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. The New Jersey General Assembly condemns the assassination of Charlie Kirk and opposes any intimidation or attack on an individual for that person's political beliefs. The New Jersey General Assembly reaffirms its commitment to protecting the rights of all Americans to assemble peacefully and to express their political views without fear of violence or intimidation.
