This resolution congratulates Dr. Jacquiline S. Touba on receiving the 37th Annual J. Walter Juckett Community Service Award, an honor presented by the Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC), a membership organization supporting businesses in four New York counties. The J. Walter Juckett Community Service Award, established 37 years ago, recognizes individuals who have significantly contributed their time and energy to helping others. Dr. Touba, an artist and former college professor, founded the World Awareness Children's Museum in Glens Falls, which houses global children's artwork and promotes cultural exploration. She has also been instrumental in developing Glens Falls' Arts District, authored numerous publications, and supports various non-profit organizations through the Touba Family Foundation, which specifically funds art organizations. Her extensive community involvement includes service with the Rotary Club of Glens Falls, Lower Adirondack Regional Arts Council (LARAC), Hyde Collection, and Chapman Museum, and she has received multiple previous accolades for her work, including being named a New York State Senate "Woman of Distinction." The resolution acknowledges her dedication to art, culture, and community betterment, and directs that a copy be sent to her.
