AI Summary

This bill requires employers in New Jersey that qualify for the federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF) to inform their employees about this program when they start their jobs. The PSLF, established by the "College Cost Reduction and Access Act," allows individuals working for qualifying public service employers to have their federal student loans forgiven after making 120 qualifying monthly payments. Employers must notify employees of their potential eligibility for PSLF and explain the key requirements, which include working for a qualifying employer for at least 30 hours per week (or the employer's definition of full-time, whichever is greater), having federal student loans through the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program (or consolidating other federal loans into it), and making payments under an income-driven repayment plan.
