AI Summary

This bill mandates that retail dealers selling cigarettes and vapor products will be inspected at least twice annually by officials authorized by the Attorney General or the Commissioner of Health, including local law enforcement. If a violation is found, a follow-up inspection must occur within three months. The bill also allows for the seizure and destruction of products found to be in violation of the law, as declared by a court. Any penalties collected from these violations will be paid to the municipality where the violation occurred for its general use. This legislation amends existing laws concerning flavored cigarettes and vapor products, shifting enforcement from local health officials and law enforcement to state-level authorities and establishing a more structured inspection and enforcement process.
