Bill Summary
This bill supplements the "Local Government Ethics Law," N.J.S.A.40A:9-22.1 et seq., to provide that a local government agency cannot employ any person in a full-time or part-time position while that person is on paid leave from a full-time or part-time position with a local government agency of another county or municipality
AI Summary
This bill amends the "Local Government Ethics Law" to prohibit a local government agency from hiring someone for a full-time or part-time job if that person is currently receiving pay while on leave from a similar position with a different county or municipal government. This means a local government cannot employ an individual who is being paid by another local government entity to not work.
