Bill Summary
This bill prohibits any person holding a position as the commissioner or head of a principal department in the Executive Branch of State Government, or an office or agency thereof, from holding an additional office, employment, or position that requires the person to spend the majority of their working hours in a location outside of this State, or to be absent from this State for an extended period of time. If the additional office, employment, or position is held in accordance with the person's role as the commissioner or head of a principal department in the Executive Branch of State Government, or an office or agency thereof, then the person may request an exemption from the Employee Residency Review Committee and the committee may grant such an exemption.
