This bill proposes to add a new section to state law that would grant free admission to all South Dakota state parks and recreation areas for any resident who is an enrolled member of an Indian tribe. In addition to free entry, these qualifying individuals would also receive a fifty percent discount on any camping fees or associated electrical service fees. To implement this, the Department of Game, Fish and Parks will issue a lifetime park entrance license to eligible individuals, and the Game, Fish and Parks Commission will establish rules and procedures for obtaining these benefits and licenses, as required by chapter 1-26, which governs administrative rules.
