This bill amends West Virginia law to prohibit the resale of event tickets, such as for concerts or sporting events, for more than a 3% markup above the original price, or "face value," of the ticket. This provision is added to the existing definitions of "unfair methods of competition and unfair or deceptive acts or practices," which are actions that mislead consumers in commercial transactions.
