The bill also mandates that these work groups, along with the districts, submit annual reports of their findings and recommendations to the Department of Water Resources, which will then consolidate these reports for the governor and legislative leaders, thereby aiming to improve rural groundwater management through collaborative efforts and informed recommendations.
