This resolution commends and congratulates Aubrey Lynn Atchison, a senior at Biloxi High School, for being named the State Games of Mississippi 2025 Youth Athlete of the Year. The State Games of Mississippi is an event that hosts over 5,200 amateur athletes in numerous sports across the state, contributing to local economies and providing opportunities for athletes. Aubrey was recognized for her outstanding performance in softball during the 2025 games, where she achieved a .636 batting average and received several other athletic honors, despite overcoming significant injuries. The resolution also acknowledges her resilience, leadership, and passion for the sport, and extends best wishes to her, her parents, and her coaches for future success.
