This bill amends the Domestic Violence Fatality Review Act to adjust reporting deadlines and committee operations. Specifically, it changes the requirement for a quorum of the Statewide Committee, which is a group that reviews domestic violence-related deaths, from needing seven voting members to simply a majority of those voting members. Additionally, the bill moves the deadline for the Statewide Committee's annual report from March 1st to September 1st of each year, and the deadline for its biennial report, which analyzes data and makes recommendations for reducing domestic violence fatalities, from April 1st of odd-numbered years to June 1st of odd-numbered years.
