It will also investigate the types, amounts, and benchmarks used in these price-related compensation methods, explore the business models of these intermediaries, analyze differences in compensation between affiliated and unaffiliated entities, identify potential conflicts of interest that might favor higher-priced drugs, and track trends and factors influencing these pricing structures across different programs like Medicare Part D and Medicaid. The Comptroller General is required to present the findings and any legislative or administrative recommendations within two years of the bill's enactment.
