This resolution designates January 31, 2026, as "Heroes of the Northeast Philadelphia Plane Crash Day" in Pennsylvania to honor the victims and first responders of a tragic medical jet crash that occurred on January 31, 2025. The crash resulted in the deaths of all six people on board and two people on the ground, with many others injured and numerous homes damaged. The resolution acknowledges the immediate and courageous multiagency response from the Philadelphia Fire Department, Philadelphia Police Department, Office of Emergency Management, and other partners, as well as the bravery of residents who aided their neighbors. It expresses appreciation for the valor and efforts of all those who helped during the tragedy and remembers those who lost their lives.
