This resolution commends and congratulates the Gulfport High School Admirals Football Team and Head Coach Blake Pennock for winning the 2025 Mississippi High School Activities Association (MHSAA) Class 7A State Championship. The MHSAA is the governing body for high school sports in Mississippi, and Class 7A represents the largest schools in the state. The resolution highlights the team's historic victory, their record-breaking season with twelve consecutive wins, and their remarkable comeback in the championship game, which included a game-tying Hail Mary pass and a game-winning extra point as time expired. It also acknowledges the dedication of the players, coaches, athletic director, superintendent, and the entire Gulfport community for their support. Copies of this resolution will be sent to Head Coach Blake Pennock and the Capitol Press Corps.
