This bill amends Arizona law regarding domestic violence orders of protection and release conditions for defendants. Specifically, it modifies Section 13-3602 to allow a court, after a hearing, to require a defendant to provide identifying information to the plaintiff, such as their residence, place of employment, or vehicle details, if the defendant has a history of harming the plaintiff and there's a reasonable belief that physical harm could occur without this information. Additionally, it clarifies that in family law cases (Title 25 actions), a superior court can modify an order of protection concerning a child common to the parties, but only if it's in the child's best interest and solely to facilitate parenting time orders between the defendant and the child. The bill also amends Section 13-3967 to expand the types of felony offenses involving domestic violence that trigger mandatory release conditions, including electronic monitoring and a prohibition on contact with the victim, to include any felony offense involving domestic violence that results in physical harm against another person, not just those specifically listed in chapter 14 or 35.1 or section 13-3212.
