The office will then produce an annual report analyzing the energy industry's structure, costs, and energy-related functions, making this information publicly accessible while safeguarding proprietary business data. The bill also creates an "energy information working group" composed of representatives from various state departments and agencies to identify and propose formats for data sharing with the new office, and appropriates $3 million for the office's initial operational costs.
