"Dell" Spry for his distinguished 20-year career, particularly for his leadership in the investigation that uncovered and led to the conviction of Aldrich Ames, a high-ranking CIA officer and spy for the Soviet Union, earning him the nickname "The Spy Catcher." The resolution also acknowledges his expertise in counterintelligence and counterespionage, his receipt of prestigious awards from both the FBI and CIA, and his continued contributions as a consultant and instructor, training FBI personnel and advising on national security matters to protect the country from foreign threats. The Secretary of the Senate is directed to provide a copy of this resolution to Special Agent Spry.
