This bill creates a new specialty license plate featuring the "1905 Wright Flyer III" and amends existing laws to accommodate this. Specifically, it adds a new section to the Revised Code that allows owners of certain vehicles to apply for these special plates, which will include a logo and words approved by the Ohio History Connection and the registrar of motor vehicles. A $25 contribution from each plate purchase will be deposited into the "license plate contribution fund," which is then distributed to various charitable organizations as outlined in section 4501.21 of the Revised Code. An additional $10 administrative fee will go to the public safety - highway purposes fund. The bill also modifies section 5910.07 to clarify that contributions from the license plate fund can be deposited into the Ohio war orphans and severely disabled veterans' children scholarship donation fund.
