This bill allows Tennessee courts to order additional parenting time for a parent who was previously denied visitation, particularly when those denials were based on allegations of abuse or neglect that were not substantiated. Specifically, if a parent can prove that the other parent intentionally made or participated in false abuse allegations, and an investigation by the Department of Children's Services or another agency, or a protective order, did not result in a finding of abuse or neglect, the court *must* order make-up parenting time. This additional time is meant to restore the lost parenting time, must be of the same type and duration as what was denied, and should not disrupt the child's schooling or regular activities, with a two-year timeframe for completion. This provision does not create new legal actions against state agencies like the Department of Children's Services.
