This bill expands the definition of adulterating food, liquids, or pharmaceuticals to include doing so with the intent to cause involuntary intoxication, which is classified as a Class D felony, while other intents like causing bodily injury or death carry higher felony classifications. Additionally, any business licensed to sell or offer samples of alcoholic beverages for on-site consumption must now keep readily available "drink drug testing devices," which are specialized tools designed to quickly detect the presence of controlled substances or drugs in beverages that could be used to incapacitate someone, and they must also post a notice informing customers of their availability.
