This bill revises the laws concerning teacher leave in Tennessee by increasing the rate at which teachers earn personal and professional leave to two days for each half-year employed, and it also modifies the amount of sick leave teachers can accrue annually based on their contract length, allowing for up to eight, nine, or ten days per year depending on whether they have a ten, eleven, or twelve-month contract, respectively, in addition to any personal and professional leave that is transferred to sick leave, with all unused sick leave being cumulative.
