Furthermore, a long-term care ombudsman, who acts as an advocate for residents in long-term care settings, must now inform all residents of a facility if the facility contacts them. The bill also requires assisted-care living facilities to provide residents or their legal representatives with a website link to their licensure status and disciplinary history before they are admitted or sign a contract, ensuring individuals have access to important information about the facility's record.
