This bill, effective October 1, 2026, will change how Randolph County Commissioners are elected starting with the general election in 2028, by staggering their terms. Specifically, commissioners for Districts 1, 3, and 5 will initially be elected for two-year terms, while the other commissioners will serve four-year terms. After this initial staggered election, all subsequent elections for a commissioner's successor will be for a full four-year term.
