This bill, titled "Master-in-Equity Terms of Office," proposes to amend South Carolina law by adding a new section that clarifies when the terms of office for masters-in-equity, who are judicial officers appointed to handle certain legal matters, will begin and end. Specifically, for any new master-in-equity court established after January 1, 2027, the initial term will commence on July 1 of the year the court is created.
