This bill proposes to rename the Governor's Residence Advisory Commission to the Governor's Residence Management Committee and modifies its membership and appointment process. The committee will now consist of the governor or their designee, the secretary of general services or their designee from the facilities management division, and three members appointed by the governor. These three appointed members will have staggered terms, with initial appointments of two, three, and four years, and subsequent appointments for four years to maintain the staggered schedule. The governor will also designate the chair of the committee. Appointed members will not receive a salary but will be reimbursed for per diem and mileage expenses as outlined in the Per Diem and Mileage Act.
