This updated definition, when referring to "acutely low income households" (meaning those with the lowest incomes, as defined by state law), will now encompass a house, apartment, modular home, mobilehome or trailer, a group of rooms, or a single room intended for occupancy as separate living quarters, which are defined as having separate sleeping areas and direct access from outside or a common hall, and can be for permanent or transitional housing. The bill also makes minor technical changes to other definitions within this section and states that no reimbursement is required for local governments because they can cover any costs through existing fees.
