This bill, by adding a new section to Chapter 67 of the Revised Statutes of Missouri (RSMo), prohibits cities, towns, villages, counties, and other political subdivisions from considering certain characteristics when awarding contracts. Specifically, these government entities are forbidden from taking into account or giving preference to any person or entity based on their race, color, religion, national origin, ancestry, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or familial status.
